Its always been a willy wallow ride for me in Love. It is easy for me to love someone, see their good side. But when we realise love is always not about the good side, but acceptance of every side - it becomes complicated, even though I accept every side. Maybe that's what it is. Love in the true sense is having no expectations. But I'm only human! Even the Great Gautama Buddha who preached everyone to leave all their desires had the desire that everyone should not have any desires!! Get that? Then where do I stand, when Love is concerned. I can be selfish sometimes, its not a crime! 😛

Whatever path you may take, keep moving. There is nothing called right or wrong, to each their own!
Life is a journey for everyone. Their individual journey. What is right for some may not be so for others. Don't judge. Try to empathise. Accept people as they are. But whatever you choose, at the end of the day all that matters is, if you can sleep peacefully. Be true to your heart. Embrace every human being. Nobody is born evil or cruel. Life makes them so.

Let go....

Feel Free, Feel Light. Unwanted Baggage is only going to Ruin your Sleep. Be like the bird that flies high in the sky, if its burdened like the Donkey, it may never see its flight. 

Yes, its easy to preach than to follow. But try. Forgive. Let Go. Try to keep your Emotions in Check. You may falter once or twice, but you will soon get the hang of it. Once you let go, you will only be soaring up high instead of holding on to everything and being grounded at the same place. 

What's even more important than letting go, is to keep moving. Do that!

Take Care of 'YOU'

You are important to yourself. Don't take yourself lightly! 

Life is very uncertain, especially in these Corona Times, but at least what we have in our control we should take care of them.

In today's World, where people can get a cardiac arrest when they are as young as 36, don't you think you need to put a pause button on your life and start doing things that keep you healthy? Please stop taking your body for granted by filling it up with junk because of your so-called habits!

Think! Because you are not only responsible for you, but also for those dependent on you. You may pass away from this world, but imagine what you are leaving behind? More than grief and sorrow for your dear ones, it will  be a life long struggle and pain to survive!

Stop rushing. Stop running. Stop gobbling up your breakfast. Stop skipping meals. Stop running behind something you are not even sure of. Stop excusing yourself from exercising. Stop from being lazy. Stop brooding. Stop whining. Stop blaming. Because your soul may always be young, but it needs your body as a vessel to do things that you want. Don't wear it off too soon! Take care of yourself right now...Because only you are responsible for your life and its happenings.

Dream Catcher

Finally, it needs a quarantine time to get back to what I always wanted to do.

With no school, no schedule, no deadlines, no guests, no outings, no temples, no malls but just you and your family with loads of time - Doesn't it look like a dream come true for many?  But yes when this came true we all are praying when it will end. We can't wait to get back to our routines. Thats life. Life is always better the other side! :p

Hoping everything falls back to normal and our lives will resume track. But at the moment, lets make the most of the time doing things we always want to do. Because at least we are blessed to have our loved one near by with a stock of essentials than those who are away from family struck in different places and those people who are working on the forefront to get things back to normal. So Be Grateful and Stay Home!

I started doodling again and would love to keep them safe and what more than my blog to keep them safe. (I still ROFL reading my blog entries when I started this blogging journey 15 years back!!)

Dreams are good. Dreams are nice. We all love to dream. When I doodled this dream catcher, it immediately filled me up with such positive energy and hope along with an instant smile!

Did you know that Dream Catchers date many years back and was actually a sort of spider web? It was adopted by Native Americans from the Ojibwa Chippewa Tribe.

The Tribe people had a mysterious 'Spider Woman' known as Asibikaashi in their language, who would look after children and sleeping people and ward off their nightmares. When the tribe flourished and moved places, it was difficult for the Spider Woman to protect her tribe and made these spider web dream catchers. They were often hung on cradles of infants to protect them from nightmares.

The original design had eight points indicating the eight legs of the spiders and had a hole in the centre which was later made as beads to represent the spider. The beads or hole became the sacred charm to catch good dreams and pass it through the dream catcher to the person sleeping underneath and the bad dreams were entangled in the web from moving down further.

Even if the myth is not true, we all get this overwhelming tenderness when we hear about these stories that our loved ones will be protected and believe it by instinct. It is always the thought, belief and hope that counts than the truth of the actual myth. If you believe it spreads positivism all around you in an auto mode :)

I Count My Blessings

Life through rose rinted glasses, 
Felt dreamy and gleamy. 
Little did I realise....

But I count my blessings, 
Because truth dawned on me.

Yes, I learnt it the hard way. 
But I count my blessings,

Now the glasses have broken.

Hello From Whisk' N Creme'

Its been quite a long break from blogging. Lots have happened in the process that today I am a home baker and exploring and discovering healthy alternatives in baking.

Today I spend more time with my OTG and mixing bowls than cooking over the stove 😉. Something that started as a hobby, soon became a passion and now its something I cannot live without.

Buying an OTG for grilling was the main idea, but that ‘just for fun’ activity of baking for kids which I started with Kuzhalee, soon became an obsession and Whisk' N Creme'  🍰🎂was born. We both have of come a long way and across many orders - we are proud to say that we even have some regular customers for whose kids we have baked cakes on a regular basis.

Today we are also happy to say that we operate both in Bangalore and Chennai! So Bangalore peeps and Chennai makkals, please get to know your friendly home bakery - Whisk' N Creme'. We deliver throughout the city through third party delivery vendors and wish to keep growing higher and higher.

With people becoming overtly health conscious, we took a step to start baking with wheat and without egg. Then we experimented with powdered jaggery and used them in our cookies instead of refined white sugar. Now as an even health conscious step, we are exploring baking with different millet flour and powdered jaggery without any addition of refined flour or sugar as well as egg.

Our goal is to set a menu that has an option of completely organic bakes. Yes, there is still a long way to go 👩‍🍳🙇‍♀️. And as baby steps we have been exploring baking with millets and have mastered some recipes in that aspect.
